Bryce Turner, AIA
President and CEO
Bryce Turner is the President and CEO of Brown Craig Turner and the energetic force behind its emergence from a small design consulting firm to a nationally-recognized architecture firm. Turner joined the firm in 1994 and became President and CEO in 2002. He is a registered architect in twenty U.S. states, has directed the design of projects in five countries within Europe, North America and Asia, and he is a major force in obtaining entitlements and approvals for the firm's complex retail, commercial and mixed-use projects. Turner frequently testifies before public commissions and agencies regarding the merits of the firm's mixed-use projects, and he is an asset to any development team. His achievements include Charles Plaza and Center Plaza in Baltimore, MD, Eastgate Complex Harare in Zimbabwe, Downtown Center Plaza, MD, Paramus Place, NJ and Belvedere Square in Baltimore, MD.
Bob Gehrman, AIA, LEED AP
Principal
As an accomplished, hands-on Architect for Brown Craig Turner since 1996, Bob has guided many of our client's projects to success. His wide background in many building typologies provides his clients with vast resources for any project. In addition, Bob is responsible for scheduling the firm's workload, enforcing the quality of the documents, and building teamwork among staff, consultants, and clients. Registered as an Architect in New York State since 1998, Bob has been instrumental in the successful completion of many of the complex projects at Brown Craig Turner. LEED AP, MD and NY registered architect.
Glen A. Tipton, FAIA
Principal
Glen Tipton comes to BCT with a expansive range of experience in senior living design. He formerly served as CSD Architect's Senior Living Studio Executive. In this role, he provided Executive Overview and Quality Assurance for all projects in the Senior Living Studio. He also served as Principal-In-Charge of numerous Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Assisted Living, and Nursing Facilities. A long time pioneer in the creation of intergenerational community integrated facilities for older adults, Mt. Tipton was named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for his career long commitment to improve the quality of design for communities for older adults. In addition, Glen has spoken at a variety of conventions and seminars on the subject of design and development of retirement communities. He chaired for 4 years the AIA Design for Aging's Knowledge Community and is an active member of the Lifelong Community Consultant Team. Glen received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Virginia and is a registered architect in twenty states.
Scot Foster, AIA, LEED AP
Vice President
An award-winning architect whose projects have been published in a number of national publications, Scot Foster has over fifteen years of experience in both public and private sectors. Specializing in a range of housing and mixed-use projects; his recent experience focuses primarily on mixed-use, residential and senior living projects. This includes creating communities that combine both market rate and affordable housing. Before joining Brown Craig Turner, Foster was a Senior Associate at Hord Coplan Macht.
Mark Herbkersman, AIA
Vice President
Having rejoined BCT in 2007, Mark makes a great contribution to the BCT team. In his current role, he establishes creative directions for mixed-use commercial developments, provides art direction, design and project management for architectural, interior design and graphics projects, serving as a liaison between clients and staff. He brings outstanding design skills, project management and communication skills to any project he oversees. Mark received a Bachelor of Architecture as well as a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from Kent State University, studied abroad in Italy. He has been recognized nationally and internationally for his diverse architecture and design work.
Craig Purcell, AIA, LEED AP
Vice President
Craig joined Brown Craig Turner (BCT) in May of 2008, after working with Callison (Seattle), Development Design Group (Baltimore), and FRCH (Cincinnati). Craig is an excellent planner and designer with more than 30 years experience in retail-driven mixed use projects in the U.S. and international markets. He uses his experience and expertise to create rich cultural settings that resonate a sense of place and energize urban spaces.
Janet Reynolds, AIA
Vice President
Janet has been involved in a wide range of projects in both private and public sectors, specializing in Senior Living projects. Her project responsibilities have included project management, design, construction, documentation, and construction administration. Ms. Reynolds brings a strong mix of creative design and practical insight to her projects. Prior to joining BCT, she served as Principal, Project Manager, and Project Architect on a variety of senior living projects at CSD Architects.
Duncan Walker, AIA, LEED AP
Vice President
With 23 years of experience as an architect, Duncan has designed and managed a broad range of project types with a concentration on retail mixed use, residential, and senior living. He has designed projects in 20 states, Europe, and Asia. His approach combines a strong focus on design with an understanding of construction and building technology. Over the last 12 years, Duncan has become strongly involved in the senior living industry and has helped raise the standard of design for retirement communities. He has given speeches on various aspects of the design of retirement communities in a number of prestigious national venues.
David Loizeaux
Director of Design
Having joined Brown | Craig | Turner in 1985, David was head of technical design at the H. Chambers Co. in Baltimore, Maryland for eight years. His 30 years of experience in design work includes Hospitality projects involving hotels in Kuwait, Bermuda, and the Bahamas, Commercial and Institutional projects, including several top executive floors of the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company, and extensive retail design with both BCT and The Rouse Company. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art where he majored in Interior Design and graduated Cum Laude in 1971. David has been designing Brown Craig Turner’s highest profile projects and holds title of Director of Design. David’s talents are most evident in master planning and conceptual architectural design. He was the creative force behind Annapolis Harbor Center, as well as the streetscape, storefront and architectural design of Downtown Silver Spring.
Earl Sipes, SEGD

With more than twenty years at Brown | Craig | Turner, Earl is the firm’s lead for architectural illustration, graphic design and Environmental Graphics. Earl’s eye for detail and exceptional free-hand gives our projects vibrancy in their conceptual stages. Earl is a member of SEGD.
Chris Holler, AIA
Senior Associate
After completing a summer internship with Brown Craig Turner in 1998, Chris Holler returned following his graduation in 1999 from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture. Working as a Project Architect and Project Manager throughout all phases of design and construction, he has gained experience in retail projects of all scales, including ground-up and adaptive re-use renovation projects.
